Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids Lipsticks

Spring is not here yet, but brands are already releasing  the new spring line products for 2013. As soon as I found out about the Vivids collection from Maybelline, I kept a look out for their display and was able to find them at my local Walmart. From what I was able to see there were ten shades available, I picked up six of them.

These Lipstick are packing a lot of color and intensity but can be worn sheer out for a stained look. The color are bright and come in mostly cream finishes. From what I can tell only two of the shades from the line have a slight shimmer that is not too noticeable. They apply very creamy but if you apply too much it might bleed out. The colors are so pigmented that in some cases the color literally will stain you lips, specially with the red and bright pink shades.

My only complaint is the scent of the lipstick in the tube, it smells just likes kids play-dough and that scent has always made a little queasy, but the scent does not transfer when you apply it, but it can be a little off putting at times.

This has a light blue shimmer in the tube but it does not appear shimmery on the lips

Over all I like the color selection, the lipstick formula and the pigmentation. The only thing I would change is the scent.I would definitely repurchase these lipsticks, knowing what I know now.
